After a very close call with Hurricane Irma, “Key West Strong” has become a unifying message for the residents. Pictured here is the Strand Theater on Duval Street with its marquee sign proudly letting the world know that Key West is in fine shape and ready for fun. The storm’s worst damage occurred twenty to forty miles east of Key West, largely sparing the island.
